Upon arrival at Hope in the Mountains, you will be greeted by a staff person who will provide a tour of the service area and answer any questions you may have. You will be given information about our various programs as well as information regarding after-hours/crisis services.
The treatment process and what to expect will be explained to you through informed consent. You will have an opportunity to begin developing a positive therapeutic relationship with your clinician, peer support specialists, case managers, and your peers. In addition, you will have an opportunity to identify and begin resolving feelings of ambivalence related to participation in treatment. The clinician will assist you in preparing for treatment and encourage you to take an active role in the treatment process.
Screening and Assessment
Each new client will meet with a Hope in the Mountains Clinician for screening and assessments to identify your personal strengths and problems. This will allow us to begin to understand your specific needs, strengths, and areas of focus for treatment.
Treatment Planning
Using the information gathered in the screening and assessment process, you and a Hope in the Mountains Clinician will begin to develop a plan for your treatment. Treatment planning seeks to highlight your strengths and skills and will address your unique risks and needs so that you can meet your personal goals.
Once we identify your goals for treatment, you will be given a client handbook for the treatment program you are entering. We will review the client handbook with you in detail to ensure that you fully understand the treatment program, the therapeutic process and Hope in the Mountains policies.
